Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cyrus is a four year old, 55 pound couch potato/ big smoosh mix dog that LIVES to nap. If there were awards for couch napping....Cyrus would win against anyone, hands down. The couch can be crowded, everyone in the world can be running around, we could literally have a party in the living room.....and Cyrus would be sleeping on the couch, unbothered. This sweet boy is crate and potty trained, can reliably stay out of his crate while his foster mom is away, walks well on leash, rides in the car like a pro, and is generally just easy. He gets along well with the dogs in his foster home which says a lot given that they range from a sassy senior beagle to a bossy lady Pyr. He has been good with the cats in foster care so far but we don't leave him unsupervised with them yet. He was interested in them for a while but seems pretty content to ignore them now but once in a while when they run around he perks his little ears up and watches them intently. It may be just because he is judging them for running indoors. Cyrus loves kids, he has great social skills, and he isn’t rowdy so he would do well with children of all ages. If you are looking for a new friend for strolls around the neighborhood or to chill on the couch with, he definitely fits the bill!
This dog is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested positive for heartworms and has been treated in our care. The adoption fee is $400 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368.
If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 10am-Noon. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
