Our foster dogs live as family members in the foster home until chosen for adoption.
Hi, my name is Gil (aka Gilligan).
I was found as a stray wandering the streets worrying how to care for myself. I’m a five-year-old Doberman mix and weigh 65 pounds. At least here at the shelter I have my basic needs taken care of like food and water plus a roof over my head. However, I am longing to find my forever home and a family to love me. Do you have room in your heart and your home for me??
UPDATE: I AM NOW LIVING IN A WONDERFUL FOSTER HOME!!!!
My foster parents now call me Gil. I spent waaaaayyy too long at the shelter, but now I’ve settled in very nicely with my foster family, which consists of two humans, four other dogs, and more cats than I can count. I get along really well with the other canine members of the family, and have learned that cats are pretty cool, too.
I have a very sweet and gentle disposition, and love to cuddle next to my foster dad on the sofa. My foster parents believe that I had former obedience training because I know the commands of sit, stay, and heel, and I’m very good on a leash. Also, I’ve learned from my “brothers and sister” how to crate up at night.
My foster parents strongly feel that I will make an excellent adoption for a forever family that might have other dogs and/or cats (and possibly children?). I’m neutered and up-to-date on all vaccinations, as well as heart worm and flea/tick treatments. I’m sure when you meet me it will be love at first sight!

See you soon, GIL.
