Monique's Story...
MONIQUE IS BEING FOSTERED IN MELBOURNE BEACH, FL.

Look at me run! I'm young and free! I'm Monique, and I'm about 3-4 years old and full of energy! I'm a black and tan German Shepherd, on the smaller side, and was found wandering after Hurricane Jeanne. My time was up at the shelter I was in, so I've been pretty stressed. I really just need a family who wants me, since I can't find my mom and dad!

Monique is up to date on all shots and is on heartworm prevention. She'll be spayed shortly. She is a very strong dog for her smaller size, and seems fine with other dogs. Cats are currently being evaluated, and her status with children is currently unknown.

Monique needs structure in her life, since she doesn't appear to have had much. She responds well to a routine, and her foster mom is working with her on this. She needs a family that's willing to work her on obedience trainig and turn her into a great dog. She currently sits and gives her paw in a clumsy yet pretty way, for a treat!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Monique, a Palm Bay German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Palm Bay, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Palm Bay.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Palm Bay already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Palm Bay breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Palm Bay paves the way for another one to be saved.
