Maxx's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Maxx's Story...
Maxx needs to find a new home due to a change in his family's situation. He is 3 years old, good with other dogs and most people but he has not been exposed to young children. Maxx has been eating natural dog food, has a healthy coat and weighs about 75 pounds. He is very affectionate, high energy, and needs regular exercise to stay happy. Maxx loves to play fetch with his ball. He has had basic training and a little bit of protection training so care will need to be taken in choosing a new home for him. He was a big baby at home but if the doorbell rang or someone tried to come into the house, he defended it. Maxx needs to find a home with someone who is experienced, confident and has affection but still rules, otherwise he will run the household, which could be a dangerous scenario. Like most dogs with protection training, he will react well to people he meets that do not demonstrate anxiety towards him. Maxx has not been exposed to cats, but does run after squirrels if he spots them. He is excellent health but does have a slightly low thyroid, which is easily and inexpensively managed with a daily pill.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maxx, a Rigaud Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher for sale in Rigaud, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in Rigaud.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rigaud already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rigaud breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rigaud paves the way for another one to be saved.
