Hi my name is Cricket and I am petite lil’ 8 year old girl who came all the way from New Mexico where me and my best friend Ajax lived our whole lives outside and only had each other to love and to keep warm on cold nights. One day I convinced Ajax to run away with me, but we ended up in a scary place and our former owner just left us there to be put to sleep. As soon as we thought all hope was lost, a nice lady offered to help us out in Arizona. So a bunch of kind people got together, pulled us off the E-list, and took us on a ride to Phoenix for a new beginning with AZBR! I now live in AZ where I am allowed inside for the first time in my whole life and I love it! I even trained myself to use the doggie door and am proud to say I have not made one mistake inside (which amazes people since I lived my whole life as an outside dog!)
I am a little bit of an Alpha female, and have gotten into a couple of tussles with other Alpha dogs when they got annoyed with me. I just get too excited about my new life and all the new experiences I am having! I also can’t help but bark at cats so they should be kept away from me just to be safe. My foster mom says I am intelligent, willing to please, and listen well to commands. One of my favorite things is when my foster mom picks me up and holds me like a baby; I give her millions of kisses and then lay still just gratefully gazing into her eyes. I just can’t believe someone other than Ajax loves me!!
