My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Frankie is a young, handsome golden retriever/yellow lab mix (maybe bloodhound?) who LOVES to give kisses and play, play, play! He especially loves to chase toys that roll and is learning to fetch a tennis ball. He loves car rides and hops right in! He would love to live with other playful dogs and maybe some kids to keep him busy all day! Everywhere Frankie goes, he turns heads!! Frankie was rescued from Richland Co. Humane Society in Mansfield after being picked up as a stray but never claimed. He was extremely distraught at the shelter due to being caged and away from owner, however, since he was rescued in June by a PAWS foster, he is a very happy dog!! Frankie will need to be in a home with other playful dogs. While you are away, Frankie will need to be crated in an area that he can see his “pack mates” to help him stay calm while you are away . Frankie had severe separation anxiety, but in a short time, he has made wonderful progress toward remaining calm while his “pack leader” is away. He is very smart and easy to train. Frankie’s new owner will need to use these same techniques to keep him comfortable when you are away. Frankie’s foster (and a professional trainer if necessary) will consult you to learn how to keep him calm. Frankie is worth all the effort!!! He is a happy-go-lucky puppy who tosses his toys in the air, pounces on his toys like a big cat and plays with his toys till he drops!
