Sonny's Story...
: Sonny is a new Tassie's Hope dog - recently rescued from an East TX shelter. Sonny is a young adult, maybe a year or 2 old. As with most "little boys", Sonny needs a family who is willing to work with him on his "ABC's". Sonny is a very well-tempered, happy, intelligent dog who has tons of potential. It's obvious that nobody in Sonny's past has cared enough to work with him. Dogs need guidance and training, just like people do, to help them live harmoniously in their households. Sonny is neutered, current on his shots, heartworm-negative and current on monthly heartworm preventative. All he needs now is a new mom and/or dad who will get him into positive reinforcement-based obedience training and be loving and patient with him as he learns the ropes. Sonny is truly a diamond in the rough. We're looking for that special family who recognizes what a gem of a guy Sonny is and will give him a loving, permanent family to belong to. If you think that might be your family, please complete our on-line application today. You can access it under the "General Info." section of our website.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sonny, a Carrollton Husky/Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Carrollton, or seeking a Husky/Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Carrollton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carrollton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carrollton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Husky/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carrollton paves the way for another one to be saved.
