Nicholas's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Nicholas's Story...
This poor boy has been through a lot for his young age. Nicholas started life in a condo going outdoors only twice in a 24 hour period - the rest of the time he spent in a crate. Because of "behavioral problems" (ahem) he was taken to a shelter in Colorado. There he was going to be put down for barking (translated "boredom"). Rescued by a Malinois lover but still kept in a kennel situation, poor Nicholas still was not a happy boy. Nicholas is very outgoing, loves to play with toys and other dogs (although he plays rough like Malinois' do). Wonderfully housebroke and very easy to train, Nicholas will need to go to an experienced owner who is active and willing to spend some time with him. Neutered, up to date on shots - this boy does great with kids but not so good with kitties. Nicholas is like a lump of clay, just waiting to be molded by the right owner. If interested, please contact Malinois rescue directly - Lisa Swarthout (406)-323-1925 or email her at

Act quickly to adopt Nicholas. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nicholas, a Roundup Belgian Malinois dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Belgian Malinois for sale in Roundup, or seeking a Belgian Malinois dog from a breeder in Roundup.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Roundup already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Roundup breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Belgian Malinois breeders who help with Belgian Malinois rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Roundup paves the way for another one to be saved.
