My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Cheyenne. I was born in January 1995. I am in good health, except for some arthritis in my joints, current with all my shots, heartworm negative and I am spayed. I also have a microchip to keep me from getting lost. I am looking for a home with people who will really love me a lot because I have a lot of love to give my family. My former owner kept me chained under his house and when he moved away, he left me behind. I was rescued from that place and now I live with my foster Mommy and Daddy, who love me and play with me all the time. I am still a little shy when I am held too tightly, and I grumble a little, so I am looking for a family with no young children. I like older children who know how to be nice to me. I love people and my favorite things are having my tummy rubbed and cuddling on the couch with my human.

I love to play with toys and other dogs. I get along well with all the other dogs that I live with now. I really like those squeaky balls and stuffed toys, too. One of my favorite games is playing in the water hose, but I have some pain from arthritis the next day if I play too long. I love having a bath. Although I enjoy playing with other dogs, I don’t like cats; so I’m looking for a home with no cats.

I have great manners in the house. I am quiet and I am house-broken and crate trained. I know “sit” and “down”, and I come quickly when I am called. My favorite thing is to cuddle on the couch with my Mommy. I walk politely on a leash and I love to go for rides in the car. I have completed a basic obedience class with my foster Mommy.

If you think that you would like to have a loyal companion who will love you forever, please contact my foster Mommy. She would love to tell you how wonderful I am.
