Mittens's Info...

I am already spayed, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Mittens's Story...
Mittens came to us with her five tiny kittens, saved from a feral colony by a devoted caregiver. She was an excellent mom and took very good care of her babies and then was spayed and vaccinated, and has been getting tamer and tamer in her foster home. She is now ready to move into a forever home, where with a little time and love and patience she will become a very sweet companion. In the three months she has been in foster care she has shown no desire to ever go outside again, and we think she will be happiest as an indoor kitty now. Mittens mothers all the other cats and kittens in her foster home and they all love her dearly, and she has got over her fear of dogs, so we think she will do well in a home with other pets.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mittens, a Duncan Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Duncan, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Duncan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Duncan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Duncan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Duncan paves the way for another one to be saved.
