Winky's Story...
This beautiful girl that you are seeing here is me, WINKY. I am a very sweet and playful spayed babe of about 2 years old. When the BSPCA rescued me I had a real bad eye infection in one eye and unfortunately it was too late to save it. I don`t think I am considered a "special needs" pet because I can see well with the other eye. (I don`t know how to pose for photos so I am closing my eyes in all of them). I get along well with dogs and other cats and I am an inside cat only. I need to find a loving home where they won`t mind that I am "winky". Can you please give me that loving home? Winky is up-to-date with routine shots and spayed

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winky, a Brownsville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Brownsville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Brownsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brownsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brownsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brownsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
