Coach's Story...
Coach is a beautiful and incredibly sweet 3-year-old, 70-pound Labrador Retriever who seeks a new loving home. Coach is dearly loved by her family but her mom has developed severe allergies that medicine does not relieve. So, sadly, Coach needs to find a new home.

Coach has the most beautiful deep reddish-brown coat and all of the typical wonderful Lab personality and attributes: very loving, loyal, attentive, eager-to-please, happy, and athletic. Coach loves everyone and is wonderful and ever so gentle with kids. She is an extremely loving and affectionate dog who absolutely craves human affection. She loves to have her belly rubbed and rolls over almost immediately once you start to rub her head! She excitingly greets her family and is all tail wags and kisses when they come home. She is also good with other dogs and likes to play and chase the tennis ball. She is learning her commands well, is easy to walk on leash, loves car rides, and is even trained on the Invisible Fence. Coach is completely housebroken and is trustworthy in the house so doesn't need to be crated [and does not enjoy being crated]. Overall, she is a very easy-going, laid-back, wonderful girl!

Coach does have some food and possibly seasonal allergies for which she takes a Benedryl tablet 2x/day. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and heartworm treated. Her adoption fee of $350 helps support the rescues of Hound Haven. To meet and potentially adopt Coach, please email houndhaven@sbcglobal.net and/or call 224 678 5740.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Coach, a Jacksonville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
