My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jack - male, vet checked, neutered, vaccinated to date inclu. Rabies, heartworm tested (-), dewormed, tx flea preventative, ~2yr, ~45lbs, Golden Ret/Nova Scotia Duck Toller mix.

Jack is a pretty blonde dog who is eager to find his forever family after he was never claimed from the pound where he was going to be euthanized after running out of time.

He is a good natured dog that gets along with other dogs, likely fine with cats and good with respectful children of any age. Jack has a soft Golden Ret. coat, the Golden has a fluffy under coat that mats (makes tiny little knots) easily and picks up dirt and debris so he will need his coat brushed regularly to keep it free from matting. Jack is a beautiful dog with a personality to match, he is friendly but tends to be a little aloof (stand offish) with new people, he comes around quickly and loves attention once he knows you. He bonds quickly to his person and listens well. He does need work on obedience training but seems to be responding well when called for. Jack loves to play with other dogs and would be a great second dog or on his own. He is crate trained and house trained but would likely be fine given free roam of the home once he settles in. Jack loves a good walk each day and would also enjoy the dog parks. Jack is active and loves to get out and run around, he would be a great jogging partner. He travels well too. Jack would like to find a home with a fenced yard.
