Rocky's Story...
Rocky is an amazing little guy. Rocky has eaten with and kept some "escape artist puppies" warm by sleeping with them. He gets along with all dogs, but doesn't like the ones who try to dominate him. Rocky would do wonderfully as a family pet. He wouldn't be that much trouble just a short walk to let him potty, and maybe an occasional trot. He would not be good in a 4 ft. fence. He loves to gently jump up on you to say "Hello"; and he totally enjoys having his tummy rubbed and his inner ear itched. He doesn't like to play and is afraid of stuffed animals. He is very sweet and charming and doesn't bark a lot. Please help this little love bug find the home that will make him always jump for joy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a Clay Plott Hound/Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Plott Hound/Greyhound for sale in Clay, or seeking a Plott Hound/Greyhound dog from a breeder in Clay.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Clay already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Clay breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Plott Hound/Greyhound breeders who help with Plott Hound/Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Clay paves the way for another one to be saved.
