Buddy's Story...
I was found as a stray and brought into a shelter.I was very scared. I am on the small side of only about 30 lbs. I love to be with you and to get love. I am house broken. I get along with all the other dogs and if they get to rough I just get away from em. If you come meet me, I may be a little scared at first because someone was once really mean to me, but if you give me love, I'll come to trust you, and I will be loyal to you for the rest of my life-it is what is inside that realy matter isn't it. I have alot gentle love to give if you will only give me a chance.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy, a Parkersburg Norwegian Elkhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Norwegian Elkhound for sale in Parkersburg, or seeking a Norwegian Elkhound dog from a breeder in Parkersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Parkersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Parkersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Norwegian Elkhound breeders who help with Norwegian Elkhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Parkersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
