My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tigris and Euphates are 6-year-old sisters with all 4 paws declawed, rescued from euthanasia at a rural, high-kill shelter following a divorce situation. The owner insisted the girls had done absolutely nothing wrong but neither party would be able to keep the cats. So the girls were confused, depressed and grieving. Lo and behold, the girls were adopted over a year ago, and now have been returned because the owner lost her home to foreclosure ... Tigris (blue Russian) is protective toward her sister Euphrates (dark silver tabby), but we have petted and talked with both and found Tigris to be fine if she's given a minute to sniff and assess the person or new thing for her cage. They have excellent, shiny coats and are very soft; we strongly recommend keeping them on a premium weight control food because their back declaw would make it hard for them to carry excess weight comfortably. We feel so sorry for these sweet girls and what they are going through, so new owners will need to ensure they continue to eat and engage them intellectually so they pull out of their depression. Both are quiet, tidy and perfect with their litterbox.
