Portia came to us from a colony of 18 cats living in New York. Her owner was very ill, and agreed to help the refuge build the fence that surrounds the 3-acres of land the cats call home if we were to take the cats in when he passed away. We were all good to our words, and now Portia is here along with her siblings roaming around the land inside the fence the owner was nice enough to help pay for. Portia is a truly gorgeous cat that is very, very shy. She needs a lot of work with socialization, but it is a high reward situation. If you want to truly make a difference and give this girl the love and attention she needs, come see her today.

About Our Shelter...
Siglinda Scarpa is a potter and a sculpter who owns 3 acres of fenced-in property in which she houses 150-200 homeless cats. The Refuge is a sanctuary for these cats, who never have to leave, but if they are adoptable, the cats are posted on our website and taken to adoption events in the community. The more cats that we find homes for, the more cats we can rescue.
