Colin's Story...
Colin is an 8 mth old male BC/aussie mix (we think!) rescued on 9/5 from a crowded UT shelter. He was picked up as a stray so we know nothing about his history, but do know that this boy is fun, fun, fun! He loves being goofy, playing with toys, balls, other dogs and humans and craves attention & positive reinforcement from whomever he meets. He will be fully vetted in the next week, and we'll post more pics & a complete bio on him by mid-September, once we've learned more about him.

Colin is being fostered in a loving home near Castle Rock, CO.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Colin, a Denver Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd for sale in Denver, or seeking a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Border Collie/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
