Big Beulah's Story...
Meet Big Beulah (and her litter sister, Big Bertha is also looking for a home). If you'd seen our eyes when these girls came to our rescue you'd know why we fondly call them that. We were told by the people that brought them in that they were about 8 weeks old....and they weigh 15 lbs! And yes, their development is very much like 8 week old puppies.

These litter sisters are big, clumsy, funny and cute as can be. Watching them play brings many smiles around here. They are just waiting for the right person to adopt them and watch them grow into big beautiful pets.

We believe them to be part shepherd, part boxer. Someone has docked their tails. They have been wormed and vaccinated and will be kept up to date on their medical needs and micro-chipped. These girls will be spayed before adoption and their adoption fee will be $150 each to cover their expenses. Of course if either find internet foster parents (sponsors) this would lower their adoption fee! Please...if you can not adopt a dog into your home, think about sponsoring a foster dog!

Do you like big, clumsy, cute puppies? If so, please e-mail or call (276)523-4000 (answered Animal House Grooming, ask for Teresa) if you are interesting in either adopting or sponsoring one of these girls.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Big Beulah, a Big Stone Gap German Shepherd Dog/Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Boxer for sale in Big Stone Gap, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Boxer puppy from a breeder in Big Stone Gap.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Big Stone Gap already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Big Stone Gap breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Boxer breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Big Stone Gap paves the way for another one to be saved.
