Jamaica's Info...

I am housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Jamaica's Story...
Jamaica came to our shelter as a stray. She was wandering in the area with no identification. We estimate her to be 6-7 years old, but with a smile like that who cares? Jamaica is very sweet and well socialized and would make a terrific family pet. She is a great size for a small home or apartment, as she's in the 25-30 lb. range. Stop and visit with this sweet lady today.

$110 Adoption Fee

Jamaica may need to be spayed/neutered at the new owner’s expense. $55 of the adoption fee would apply toward the spay/neuter charges.

SHELTER HOURS:
11:00am – 4:00pm Monday - Friday
11:00am – 6:30pm Wednesday

We welcome adoptions from people living out of the area or outside the state of Virginia. The application process is completed in person at the shelter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jamaica, a Staunton Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Spaniel (Unknown Type) for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Spaniel (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Spaniel (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
