Sunny's Story...
Hi there, I'm Sunny. How do you do? I'm a gorgeous and friendly 3 year-old Chow/Shepherd mix. I'm stuck in a cage because my guardians abandoned me. They were moving and couldn't take me with them. When I first arrived at the shelter I refused to believe they weren't coming back as I was still looking for them. Now I realize they are never coming back for me and all I want is a new family to love me. I'm a real gentle and mellow gal who just loves to cuddle. If you know us Chows then you know we can be quite aloof at times so don't expect me to be licking your toes! I know my "sit" and "down" commands but I do need work on taking treats more gently. I don't have any issues and would do well in a home with kids 10 years-old and up. Won't you come down and see what a teddy bear I really am?

Act quickly to adopt Sunny. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sunny, a Huntington Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Huntington, or seeking a Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Huntington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntington paves the way for another one to be saved.
