My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rio is approximately 5yr. old, neutered, male, Bi/Color, Black and Cream German Shepherd. This poor guy was slated to be put down in a very high, kill shelter, luckily we made room for him and we just think he is adorable. He has a great personality to match his very handsome exterior! We are extremely grateful towards the small army of wonderful volunteers to help with Rio’s journey into Rescue. Thank you Kathy for being Rio’s main support system and also thank you for your donation towards Rio’s care. I also want to thank the transport team, Great Job to Jeri, Amy & Bryan without all of you Rio would have not had a second chance.

Since Rio’s arrival words can’t express how adorable this boy is. He would be great with kids. He likes to play with submissive females more so than other dominant male dogs. We do not know how he is with other cats.

Rio did test heartworm positive at the shelter and we will start him on treatment as soon as our Vet takes a look at him this week. If you would like to offer this adorable and very special guy a loving home or you require additional information Please Email:luvgermansheps@yahoo.com

All dogs in rescue are temperament tested and have basic obedience implemented as a part of their daily routine. All behavioral issues are dealt with according to each case scenario. All dogs prior to going home are up to date on all vaccinations, neutered and or spayed, and microchipped.

Adoption fees range from $100 - $450 depending on age, degree of personalized training, and if proof of bloodlines can be provided.

Application, home-check, and references must be approved prior to final adoption. Located in Middleburg, Florida.

*Free Obedience Lessons offered to all of my rescued dogs that are placed within Clay County & Duval County areas. * Obedience Classes located in Orange Park, Florida.
