Scooby Doo's Story...
Hi, I'm Scooby Doo. I came to Northumberland Humane Society on February 21/05 becausemy owners were having twins and didn't think they would have the time or room for me anymore. I'm good with kids, I lived with a 4 year old before and she was fun to play with. I'm not sure how I would be around cats but I like getting outside to play with my buddy Nova. I've been pretty good I keep my indoor pen nice and clean and I'm only 1 year old! I've got a lot of energy and I'm pretty strong too. If you think you could give me a forever home please come by the shelter!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scooby Doo, a Port Hope Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Port Hope, or seeking a Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Port Hope.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Port Hope already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Port Hope breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Port Hope paves the way for another one to be saved.
