Ollie's Story...
Howdy folks! I'm Ollie, an attention hogging 3 year-old Pit Bull Terrier. I'm just as sweet as pie (preferably Pecan Pie) and as gentle as an over sized stuffed animal. I'm in need of a special kind of home where I will receive lots of attention, as I am a very needy boy. I can be quite mellow just curling up in your lap but I'm also very exuberant. I like to jump up on people, especially with women and you can imagine how annoying that can be since I'm such a buff man. My guardian must be stern with me and use positive training to keep me from exercising those bad habits (even though it's mighty fun for me!) I also need work on commands because I admit I have the brawn but not so much the brain. I'm a very affectionate fella who loves to give kisses and get my big belly rubbed. I have been behavior screened and I passed with flying colors! I'd do best in a home with kids at least 10 years-old. Please come down and play with me! You will fall in love and then we can live happily ever after together!

Act quickly to adopt Ollie. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ollie, a Huntington Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Huntington, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Huntington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntington paves the way for another one to be saved.
