My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Jackson. I'm about 2 years old and had been well loved by my family in Ashville, NC. I was with a single Mom with three children - I really belonged to the little girl who is 13. She was very sad when she let me go and I was so sad to leave her. But they said that they could not properly care for me. I had not had any vaccinations, wasn't neutered, and had never been groomed.

My foster family has made me feel right at home. They treated me to a plane ride from Ashville to Norfolk and got me my first hair cut and bath because they said I was realllly stinky (don't I look cute?). Her two Pekes are letting me sleep and play with them. It took me a couple of days to win Muffin over, but now she even lets me curl up in her bed with her at night. My foster Mom and Dad have started calling me Jackson for the general Stonewall. They say I am a tough little soldier!

I am being fostered in Suffolk, VA and my asking adoption fee is $275.

NOTE: Due to the volatile price of gas, getting multiple volunteers to help with long distance transporting is no longer feasible. We have listed the town and state where each dog is being fostered. Please consider how far you are willing to travel when filling out the application. The foster home will usually volunteer to help with transport for a reasonable distance.
