Beau's Story...
** If you're interested in meeting Beau, please email lulumomma@gmail.com **

Beau was voted biggest flirt when we found him as part of a rescue project in Bed-Sty. This guy just wants to love and be loved. When we met him on the sidewalk he came running up chatting us up until I bent down to say hello. Being the presumptuous young man that he is, he just jumped into my lap and got comfortable.

He absolutely adores to be dotted on -- pets, compliments, behind the ear scritches -- he loves it all. Everyone who meets him just melts when they see him. He's got that much charisma.

Beau has absolutely beautiful markings -- striped limbs and face, with leopard spots on his torso. Total fox.

Beau was recently neutered, fully vaccinated, tested negative for FeLV but did test positive for FIV. Don't look away just yet. FIV+ cats can lead normal, healthy lives as long as their healthy peers as long as they're indoors and given a healthy diet, tons of love, and regular check-ups at the vet. I urge you to read Cornell's faqs on FIV to get more info.

He does do well with other cats, so if you already have an FIV+ cat he may be a great addition. Please give this guy a chance, he so deserves it!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Beau, a New York Bengal cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bengal for sale in New York, or seeking a Bengal cat from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bengal breeders who help with Bengal rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
