Maeve's Story...
I’m a beautiful girl named Maeve. I have a distinctive coat and a beautiful, round face. I’ve been told that if I were a toddler or child, people would be constantly pinching my cheeks. Instead of pinches, I prefer pets and snuggles. Do you know what my name means in Gaelic? “Intoxicating.” I’ve always lived with other cats, so I’d be happy to share my home with another cat. I like to relax and am generally a quiet and low-key girl. I certainly am not a high-maintenance cat! I would be happy to sit with you, enjoy a sunny window perch, or just relax on the bed or couch and laze the day away.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maeve, a Aldie Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
