D'Angelo's Story...
D'Angelo is a recent arrival from Washington State. When one of our volunteers was down there helping at a spay/neuter clinic he was brought in as a stray with a respiratory infection. At the end of the week this adorable little guy didn't have a home so he was going to be put to sleep. Of course our volunteer packed him up and brought him to VPAS to find a great home. He is now healthy and ready for adoption.

D'Angelo is a fabulous kitten and will fit well into a busy household. He is high energy and just loves to play play play. He has his quiet times when he likes to cuddle, but he'd prefer to be playing with his toys or his friends most of the time. His foster family just loves him and will find it hard to part with him when it's time for him to go to his new home.

If you'd like to learn more about D'Angelo please come to visit with him at our adoption centre.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

D'Angelo, a Saanichton Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Saanichton, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Saanichton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saanichton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saanichton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saanichton paves the way for another one to be saved.
