Marley's Story...
I’m a silly youngster named Marley. I’m awfully cute too, if I do say so myself. Can you believe my family took me to the county pound just two weeks before Christmas? They were very naughty, and not nice at all, so I hope Santa was watching and filled their stockings with coal. I spent the holidays in the pound feeling lonely and depressed and wondering why my family didn’t love me anymore. The lady who rescued me told me my family had moved, and they didn’t want the hassle of taking me with them. She brought me here to FOHA where everyone loves me. I’m going to make some family very happy, and I want to find a home where I’ll be loved and appreciated. And believe me, I’ll return the feelings. I’m still a youngster, but don’t worry, I’m already housetrained. How cool is that? With my new family, everyday will be a holiday, and I’ll never be sad or alone. (Please Note: I can only be adopted in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. There will be NO exceptions to this policy.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marley, a Aldie Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
