Newt's Story...
Call me Newt! I’m an extremely sweet and friendly little senior lap dog lookin’ for love… Well, I guess I’m not looking for love as much as I’m feeling for love… See, I’m blind… But, I get around great and I’m healthy otherwise! I even got my teeth cleaned recently, so you won’t have to worry about those senior dental bills! I’m very happy, and all I want is to be with a caring person who will love me as much as I will love them… I’ve got plenty of life left in my little 4 pound body to make some lonesome person very happy! Do you have it in your heart to give this little man a loving place to spend his golden years? 9 years old-4lbs. My adoption fee is $80 and includes; neuter, microchip, reduced cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, toy & Treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Newt, a Portland Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
