UPDATE 12/12/09 -- Aaron has been adopted and will live in a new home with other husky companions! His bones are healing nicely and he will be ready to run around the yard in about 4 more weeks! WAY TO GO, AARON!
This sweet boy was named after the nice animal control officer from Southgate Animal Control that called us for help.
Aaron is a 2-year-old Siberian Husky that was hit by a car on Monday, September 28. His front leg is broken (radius and ulna bones), as you can see in the x-ray. It's obvious that Aaron hasn't had very good care. The tips of his ears are raw from fly bites and he needs to be groomed, which will have to wait until after his leg heals.
Aaron is scheduled for surgery with an orthopaedic surgeon on Wednesday, October 7th. We've already paid $180 at the vet for exam, x-rays, etc. The estimate for the repair of his leg (bone plates are required) is $2,023.
We would be grateful for any and all donations to help with Aaron's medical bills. Your donation, regardless of size, is always very gratefully accepted.
