Wilhelmina's Story...
There is nothing cuter than a tiny baby kitten! Little Wilhelmina was clinging to the front of a wire carrier like velcro out in front of the County Shelter... She was really all alone in the world at that moment in time - and at 5 weeks old too. Thank goodness for this kitty's very short memory (or did I mean attention span :-) !) because once our volunteer bailed her out before she ever really got in, she was all purrs and cuddles. Wilhelmina is now about 9 weeks old and playful, outgoing as ever and a constant amusement when she chases her doggie friends in her fosterhome scurrying under the bed for cover. Truly, your home will never be the same nor will you be ever be alone!

We are planning to bring this pet to our weekly adoptions
(but sometime plans change, so if you are interested in this pet, please e-mail for confirmation of them being at adoption)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wilhelmina, a El Segundo Calico kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in El Segundo, or seeking a Calico kitten from a breeder in El Segundo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Segundo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Segundo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Segundo paves the way for another one to be saved.
