Rocky's Story...
Meet the sweetest little 8 month old Hound mix you ever could stumble across. Rocky was found wandering alone in Jacksonville, when a kind woman took him in. He is already neutered, completely vaccinated and on monthly heartworm preventative. At the moment Rocky weighs nearly 30lbs. but he still has some growing to do. We expect him to be a 50-60lbs. pooch when he is all grown up. Rocky is working on house breaking and is crate trained. He loves playing with other dogs, but become a bit of a hurricane when playing "high speed chase" with his foster brothers and sisters. Rocky is well mannered with cats and children, he also enjoys giving kisses to new people he meets. His foster mom's first word when describing Rocky is simply "sweet" she says he is incredibly eager to please and loves even the smallest amount of attention. If you are considering adding a fun loving and sweet natured canine companion, Rocky may just be the pup you're looking for.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a Jacksonville Hound (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
