Buttercup's Story...
Buttercup is a true rescue girl. She was tied up in her yard and got tangled in her leash and it wrapped around her leg. The leg could not be save so now she is a 3 legged beauty with a personality to match. She is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL with children! She loves to run and play. Gentle. She gets along with other dogs. She would be a great companion for just about anyone. We love her and want her to go to a special person or family that will give her the care and love she deserves. Email pets@thisisthedog.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buttercup, a Homestead Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Homestead, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Homestead.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homestead already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homestead breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homestead paves the way for another one to be saved.
