My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello- my name is TARA! I am approx. 1 year old. I am spayed, up to date on shots, tested negative for both FIV and FeLv (feline leukemia) and I am treated for the prevention of ear mites, fleas and worms. I am an outdoor kitty- I love to explore and run around! I am housetrained/litterbox trained if you want me to be an indoor/outdoor kitty, but I prefer the outdoors. I am pretty shy around humans- but I do love other cats! I had a VERY tough past before I was rescued, therefore I am hesitant around people. Although I will hang around near you- I prefer not to be petted or held as it scares me. I am a great rodent catcher and I am great company to other feline friends as well!

I would do best in an outdoor home that had a barn or somewhere for me to go in and out of to keep out of the bad weather-- and a home that has a lot of room for me to run and catch rodents and have fun! It would be fun to have another cat friend around too- but either way is fine with me.
