Max #3's Story...
Pixie and Max are our world travelers! They are originally from the country of Iceland . Their previous guardians are active duty Navy and were stationed there. They found Pixie wandering outside on the base and her paws were frostbitten because it was so cold in Iceland . Max was found abandoned in a house on the base. They brought these two kitties into their lives and gave them a loving home. When their family was re-stationed in Georgia , the cats came with them. Unfortunately, they have received orders to go to another base over-seas and could not take Pixie and Max with them. They contacted Good Mews and asked if we could help find them a new loving family. We were happy to help!

Pixie is a sweet, calm girl who is also very playful. She loves attention and is very affectionate. Her nickname is Pixie-Pear.

Max is very loving and relaxed and described by his family as very gentle. His nickname is Max-O-Moose.

Both do well with dogs, other cats and kids.

These cats were loved very much by their family and it was hard for them to say good-bye. We promised we would find them the perfect home together where they will be loved just as much. And we know we will do just that!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max #3, a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
