Mars's Story...
OK, OK, sure… We are a little shy and under socialized… But we don’t act like we’re from outer-space! What’s with the names? I guess we are kinda ‘outta this world’ great! Anyway, We are a couple of young bros who each need there own patient person/family to work with us. We are both loving and friendly but a little scared of new people..,. We just haven’t been exposed, that’s all… We’re very young and loving, so maybe you can just take us to obedience class and introduce us to your friends? That’s what we need, - some structure and some love, love, love! 10 months old- 59lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes; neuter, microchip, reduced cost Training Class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mars, a Portland German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Portland, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
