Joseph's Story...
Joseph is another great dog spending too much time in a shelter where he did not have a good chance for adoption. We couldn't leave him there as we knew we could find him a great new family even if he wasn't a Lab.

We think Joseph is a Shih Tzu mix. He is around 2 years old and weighs 17 lbs. Joseph is a well adjusted boy and gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home. He loves both men and women and is a cuddler. Please apply for this wonderful dog today!

Joseph is neutered up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative.

If you would like to adopt Joseph, please submit an adoption application from our website, and see our other great Labs who are looking for their forever homes, happy tails, and more!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Joseph, a Boston Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Boston, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Boston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boston paves the way for another one to be saved.
