Madame Bijou's Story...
Hi, my name is Madame Bijou, that's french for miss jewel, because I'm such a jewel. I am a sweet all white kitty who was born 6/09 I'm spayed, up to date on shots, FIV/FeLV negative. I have become the star of my own show! It was only a short while ago that I was living under a trailer and eating food out of a garbage can that was very scary and cold life. A kind neighbor rescued me and thought I deserved a great life. I get along with other cats and dogs and would do fine with children. If you are interested in Madame Bijou, please contact the vet clinic where she is staying,Park Forest Animal Hospital at 225-275-2284. Please ASK FOR CANDICE. Do Not contact CAAWS about her as this is a courtesy listing for the vet clinic and they will be handling her adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Madame Bijou, a Baton Rouge Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
