Little Matthew's Story...
Precious little Mathew is young 9 months old, and very loving . He seems to love all people (KIDS, TOO), and other pets. He is healthy , up to date in shots anda very small (35 LBS,) Dalmatian. He is mostly white with scattered black dots. He is even handsomer than this picture reveals. Matthew 's only problem is that he appears to be deaf. He would do well with a fenced in backyard, since deaf pups cannot hear cars or othet warnings. It would be good for Matt to have another hearing dog around to help him adapt to a hearing world. Right now he seems perfectly happy and loves attention. For a dal pup , he is not too active and , with a little deaf-training assistance, he should do fine. Matt was not in a home long enough to become totally housebroken, but has learned to hold it in until walks during the day, but still has trouble lasting throught the night. With a little consistant training , he should do fine. He needs a loving and understanding family who can make soft touches replace the sounds of soft voices. If you have a place in your heart and home for this sweet little deaf dal please call or e-mail
Harriet at 718-522-4782 hckoss@AOL.COM for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Little Matthew, a Smithtown Dalmatian puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dalmatian for sale in Smithtown, or seeking a Dalmatian puppy from a breeder in Smithtown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Smithtown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Smithtown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dalmatian breeders who help with Dalmatian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Smithtown paves the way for another one to be saved.
