Mercy's Story...
Grace & Mercy are a brother/sister pair that were found as strays. No owner came to claim them, so they are now waiting for their furr-ever homes! We are guessing them to have been born around August 18, 2009. ADOPTION FEE $50 Cat adoptions ONLY - 2 for $50 This pet has not yet been spayed/neutered. The adopter is required to sign an agreement that they will have this done, and will receive a $25.00 sterilization rebate to help defray the cost.

Potential adopters are required to fill out an adoption application. The application will be e-mailed upon request or can be filled out in person, at the shelter, during open hours. E-mail is the fastest and most reliable way to contact us: Please note – it does take several days to process an adoption application and to determine approval status. Your patience is appreciated.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mercy, a Fairmont Domestic Longhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Fairmont, or seeking a Domestic Longhair kitten from a breeder in Fairmont.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fairmont already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fairmont breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fairmont paves the way for another one to be saved.
