Betsy's Story...
Betsy is an adorable red teddy bear of a dog! She is full of affection and sweetness. She is proving to be very smart and a quick learner. After less than a week in her foster home, she has learned to settle down alot of her exuberant” puppy" energy.... She is crating well and getting along well with her fellow doggie roommates. Overall, she does well with cats too but needs some management with occasional chasing...She walks very easily on leash (rarely pulls) but will need some work in the area of being leash reactive. With training and some individual focus, this cute girl will continue to blossom.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Betsy, a Berkeley Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
