Buster's Story...
My name is Buster and I am not yet 2 years old. I'm heartworm negative, up to date on shots, neutered, dog and people friendly too. I was found wandering the streets. I have very good house manners and enjoy playing fetch. My foster mom says I am a wonderful guy and for the life of her she doesn't know why no one claimed me. I am enjoying my time here with the other dogs but would love a forever home where I won't ever have to roam the streets again.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buster, a Houston Shar Pei dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei for sale in Houston, or seeking a Shar Pei dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei breeders who help with Shar Pei rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
