My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Whizzie is an approximately 7 year old male Shih-Z-A-Poo that found himself in a shelter through absolutely no fault of his own. He was part of a family that had two children whom he adored by all accounts. But tragedy struck. The mom gave birth to a chronically ill baby and found herself overwhelmed with responsibility. Something had to go - and since it couldn't be the children it had to be the dog. Whizzie (yes, that was his name - we didn't make it up!) came to us un-neutered and with a very bad urinary tract infection (which explains the fashionable bellyband seen in his photo). The UTI was cleared up with antibiotics and the neutering...well, I don't need to explain! This is one very smart little guy - he knows all the normal commands and dances on his hind legs for treats. He is fine with kids, dogs, and cats (but likes to chase) - however, since he is just a tiny little guy of 16 lbs., no toddlers please. Whizzie is being fostered in Pennsylvania and his adoption fee is $225.
