Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi my name is Bacchus, like ba-kus. I have been through a lot in my short 2 years of life. Nobody knows for sure what I am, probably some kind of a Pit Bull mix, maybe a Chow mix or a Cattle dog or an Akita- who knows! My original owner was a street person who didn’t treat me very well, and he left me all alone in a park, so a nice family took me in and cared for me. It was great, I had a teenage boy to play with, a warm house to live in, proper food and they even trained me to be a good house pet. One day they took me to play at the park and a big mean dog attacked me- now I have a big scar on my head that makes me look a little scary. I am not though, I am just a little unsure of strangers. What can you expect- I have been through a lot. So, to continue with my story, that wonderful family had to move and they where forced to give me to a shelter in California. Because it takes me a little while to learn to trust people that shelter wasn’t willing to give me the time I needed and planned to put me to sleep (boy that doesn’t sound nice!) Once again a wonderful man knew I was a good boy and took me on a long car ride all the way to Portland just so I could come here and be safe. Now I am just waiting for the wonderful person who will adopt me and be my new best friend. Are you patient? Do you think you can handle a buddy with a little baggage? Boy I hope so! 2 years old- 55 lbs
