My story

As soon as the folks at Ken-Mar Rescue met Caitlin they knew they’d found a “fur-ever” friend. Caitlin, a 6 month to one year old (estimated), white toy poodle, has adjusted from being found stray on the streets of the city and then being one step away from being destroyed, to the free life as a Ken-Mar Rescue dog. She walks beside her foster caregivers at Katie’s Pet Depot in La Verne, CA, as they work, greets new friends as they walk past and suns herself in her playpen area, enjoying everyone’s nonstop adoration. When a friend arrives, Caitlin races to meet them. If someone is holding a treat, all watch as Caitlin’s tail winds up to “40 wags per minute” and lets out her distinctive yap. After more treats and diligent hours of “congeniality” service, Caitlin is ready for a well deserved siesta to revitalize her energy again.
