Brows's Story...
Brows is a perfect example of how stressful life at the shelter can be, and why you don't judge a book by the cover. This guy seems very "amped up" in the kennel but is a super dog out of the shelter. He has really been through the wringer, in and out of the shelter never quite managing to get lucky with the people that choose him. He has been neglected in one way or another for his entire life and is starting to show the wear of it. We know that can change with the right person in his life. He DOES respond beautifully to training and would be a great walking partner. He is good with other dogs. He calms down very easily and will be a great housedog. We’d recommend a home with people, school age and up. With the right guidance and structure, Brows is going to wow the world with his faith in people!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brows, a Berkeley Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
