Mr. Chen's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, declawed, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Mr. Chen's Story...
Mr. Chen is a pretty mellow cat; he has no problems with the other cats and dogs in his foster home, nor any problems with people visiting. (Some cats tend to run and hide.) Mr. Chen is all white, five years old (DOB 10/22/04) and has been declawed. Unfortunately his former owner had to give him up. In addition to his calm personality, Mr. Chen is very affectionate, especially to men. He weighed 20 pounds when he came to the SCHS and is on a little diet to get him back to his ideal weight. Mr. Chen is easy-going, declawed (by previous owner) and doesn’t jump on counters. He has been vet checked, neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and tested negative for FIV/FeLuk. Call 507-451-4512 to meet Mr. Chen in his foster home. His adoption fee is $125. (MSH)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mr. Chen, a Owatonna Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Owatonna, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Owatonna.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Owatonna already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Owatonna breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Owatonna paves the way for another one to be saved.
