Hi! My name is Taffy and I'm looking for a forever home. I'm six years old and weigh 7-1/2 pounds - just the right size to take traveling and for shopping trips to the mall!
My Mom & Dad were moving and chose not to take me with them. They left me at a shelter with a lot of big dogs and people I didn't know. I was so scared - I don't know what I did wrong for them to leave me in such a scary place. The shelter was going to "put me to sleep." I was really sick. But a nice lady came to get me and said I was going to be "fostered." My foster Mom took me to the vet. He didn't think I was going to pull through with the bad respiratory and ear infections I had. It was touch and go (sounds like a fun game but it wasn't!) My foster Mom has taken really good care of me and I am well enough to have my "female" surgery this week.
I love to be held, don't like to walk in wet grass, and will snuggle closely with you at night. I have been wee-wee pad trained, but my foster Mom and her two Pekes have been teaching me it is better to go outside. I still like the security of a pad when no one is around to take me out.
I am being fostered in Suffolk, VA right now - but will travel to find the right Mom and/or Dad. My asking adoption fee is $250.

NOTE: Due to the volatile price of gas, getting multiple volunteers to help with long distance transporting is no longer feasible. We have listed the town and state where each dog is being fostered. Please consider how far you are willing to travel when filling out the application. The foster home will usually volunteer to help with transport for a reasonable distance.
