Norman's Story...
Howdy pals. My name is Norman. How do you do? I'm a sweet 3-4 year-old German Shorthaired Pointer mix. I'm a real gentle dog in need of a loving family who has the patience to let me the best boy I can be. Little children may frighten me so I will need to go to a child-free home. I am very nervous in my cage but once I get out I'm a bit more outgoing. As soon as I warm up to you I have tons of fun romping and playing around outside. I know how to "sit" and am eager to learn more. Once I know I'm in safe and caring hands I'll have the potential to be a wonderful companion. Please come down and hold me. I promise you won't ever be able to let go.

Act quickly to adopt Norman. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Norman, a Huntington German Shorthaired Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shorthaired Pointer for sale in Huntington, or seeking a German Shorthaired Pointer dog from a breeder in Huntington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shorthaired Pointer breeders who help with German Shorthaired Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntington paves the way for another one to be saved.
